Award-winning Canadian chart-toppers, Scenic Route To Alaska are sure to stir up a groundswell when they bring a new wave of indie rock from the Prairies to the golden shores of Australian Music Week 2 November.

Bouncing from ballads to downright bangers with ease, these lads leave a lasting impression, this year taking out four local Canadian music awards, including 'Group of the Year' and 'Album of the Year', and smashing out five Canadian and European tours to capitalise on their growing momentum.

Scenic Route to Alaska wowed a sold out audience at BreakOut West, 2017, becoming one of the most talked about groups amongst the industry. Their songs and stage performance captivates audiences, getting everyone up dancing.

Best friends from five years old and performing together since 12, Scenic Route to Alaska are soon to release their 5th studio album, produced by Howard Redekopp (Tegan and Sara, The New Pornographers), with brand new single Slow Down a tasty morsel of what is to come.

"The new album will have the most rock and roll tracks we’ve ever produced," said lead singer and guitarist, Trevor Mann, "But the main thing people will hear is the couple hundred shows we've played since recording the last album, as well as another couple years of wild life experience to write from!"

A much anticipated follow up to 2016's critically acclaimed LP Long Walk Home, which garnered multiple Award nominations and wins, #1 radio charting, multiple commercial placements and over 1.5 million Spotify streams, Scenic Route to Alaska will be showcasing the new material along with the hits to Australian audiences next month.

"For the past few years things have really started to pick up. We’ve now toured Canada countless times, gone on four European tours and will soon have five albums released," said Mann, "Australia is the next frontier for us! We're so excited to be bringing Scenic Route To Alaska down under for the first time."

Catchy vocals, memorable melodies & rich pop rock arrangements that beg to be heard again and again - it’s a coveted combination within the crowded sphere of indie rock and one that’s a product of time, talent and hard work. All of which Scenic Route to Alaska have in spades.

A wonderful performance (they KNOW how to write a tune…)
— AU Review
Poised to be the darlings of prairie indie rock, drawing from the spunky indie pop by Hollerado and Born Ruffians, but with some of the rootsy soul of the Lumineers or the Arkells.
