Gold Coast's leading live act, Hanlon Brothers are set to showcase their award-winning signature Urban R'n'B sound at Australian Music Week 3 November, 6.10pm at Space 44 Outdoor.

Fresh off the back of touring with New Zealand reggae heavyweights, Katchafire, two Queensland Song of the Year Award nominations, feature performances at the Gold Coast Music Awards and Surfers Paradise LIVE festival and the popular release of their first official music video, 2017 is shaping up to be Hanlon Brothers' year.

"We are stoked to be showcasing at Australian Music Week this year," said bass player Omar Hanlon.

"We've dedicated many years to honing our craft, mastering our instruments and developing a live show that will stand up on the world stage. And now, we feel ready for it.

"Aus Music Week is the perfect place for us to show the music industry how Hanlon Brothers have put in the hard yards and have something great to offer the world with our music."

Awarded Gold Coast's 'Emerging Artist of the Year' in 2015 and 'Artist of the Year' Finalist in 2016, Hanlon Brothers are set to soon release the first single from their forthcoming studio album, which will be celebrated with a huge headlining launch on the Gold Coast early 2018.

“Hanlon Brothers are known as local heroes for a reason. What they have going is truly unique, and there is no other band on the Gold Coast with as big or as loyal of an audience. They can hold a crowd of thousands in the palm of their hand.”

— Michelle Christoe, NightQuarter venue director

Hanlon Brothers have played Woodford Folk Festival and support slots for the likes of Cat Empire and Stan Walker, reliably drawing thousands to shows and the watchful gaze of music giants Warner Music and Jay Z’s record company Roc Nation.

A musical melting pot of creative chemistry, fine-tuned talent and broad influences, Hanlon Brothers, Saia and Omar Hanlon, are joined by former New Zealand Idol winner Matthew Saunoa, rapper Roman Albert, the soulful Mr.Thomas Stowers and some of the world’s best horns players.

The Burleigh born and bred Brothers are passionate exponents of their local community, growing the next generation of Gold Coast artists through their music academy, Burleigh Music Academy, which their father and uncle founded in 1997, and regularly hosting free performances to champion local initiatives such as the Walk With Me Foundation and Burleigh Boardriders.

With a brand new purpose-built studio, Hanlon Brothers Studios in Miami on the Gold Coast, Hanlon Brothers are set to this year record their second studio album to follow up 2015's popular Featured, which garnered national radio airplay and a USA tour.

With improvisation the cornerstone of their sound, Hanlon Brothers are a truly unique experience every time giving fans an insatiable thirst for more. Forewarned is forearmed!

“A Hanlon Brothers live show is infectious, playful and unpredictable. While each show has a spontaneous and raw energy, it is all underscored by some of the most dedicated and hardworking musicians around.”

— Michelle Christoe, NightQuarter venue director
