Winter just got a whole lot warmer with award-winning Aussie blues and roots act, Hussy Hicks and their American soul sister, Kristy Lee hitting the road this June for new single, ‘Get Ready’, including Canberra, Newcastle and Sydney.

Fresh from a whistle-stop USA tour, this run of shows comes after a mammoth few months for Hussy Hicks with standout performances at Bluesfest and Blues on Broadbeach and multiple award nominations in the Queensland Music Awards, Gold Coast Music Awards and Golden Guitar awards.*

An all female four-piece, Hussy Hicks, are a tour de force led by Leesa Gentz’ powerhouse soul vocals and Julz Parker’s revered guitar skills, perfectly demonstrated on their new single ‘Get Ready’.

“This is the first song in 12 years completely recorded, engineered and produced by the band,” said lead singer, Leesa Gentz, who was first signed to Warner/Chappell Music at just 16 years old.

Get Ready also features our new drummer, Ali Foster and long time bass player, Tracy Stephens, finally making us a legit girl band!

“And given that the song is about moving forward in terms of equality, we’re really talking the talk and walking the walk.”

Having honed their sonic dexterity over the past 12 years with six studio albums, multiple industry awards and more than 1,000 live shows, from Australia’s biggest blues, roots and folk festivals to 15 plus international tours, this will be a string of Hussy Hicks shows that you won’t want to miss.

The Hussies have been long-time collaborators with Kristy Lee, recording and performing together across the USA, Europe and Australia since they formed a bond about fifteen years ago. These incredible women are looking forward to sharing their magical musical connection with Australian audiences on this 2019 Winter Tour:

14 June - Lazy Bones, Marrickville, Sydney
