From homegrown and international award-winners to promising emerging talent, Australian Music Week sets the stage for real music discovery and damn good times this November with its first 30 artists announced today.

Taking over Sydney's Cronulla Beach, 7-9 November, Australian Music Week brings together artists and industry professionals at the forefront of the grassroots music scene for more than 150 live performances, 3 days of industry panels and masterclass workshops, as well as Australia's only dedicated Music Film Festival (10-11 Nov). 

Leading the first lineup charge today is country music's 'Female Artist of the Year', Christie Lamb, two-time Canadian JUNO Award-winner, Hawksley Workman, best new Swiss talent, Veronica Fusaro, ARIA-charting alt country newcomer, Tori Forsyth and electro pop duo, Chymes.

Conference goers will also be treated to showcases from 19 year old Americana artist, James Van Cooper, award-winning Western Australian songwriter and pop artist, Sydnee Carter, Gold Coast Music Award winner, Ella Fence, Australian folk-rock duo, Little Georgia, the world latin vibes of Amaru Tribe and many more.

Spanning a wide spectrum of genres, Australian Music Week director, Geoff Trio, said today's announcement, "shows the strength of new Australian talent emerging."

"After listening to hundreds of hours of music, I'm really excited about the quality and diversity of acts Australian Music Week will be showcasing this year.

"I even discovered my own new favourite artist in the process!

"These artists are all ready and raring to go. The artistry is there. Their live performances are there. I have no doubt 2018 will see our biggest and best showcasing results yet."

Past editions have seen Australian Music Week showcasing artists pick up international tours, major festival placements, record and distribution deals, international touring and showcasing opportunities.

301 Studios General Manager, Ron Haryanto said, "We've watched Australian Music Week evolve into an essential conference for independent artists

"What this conference does so well is enable cross sections of the industry to showcase, connect and collaborate with each other on a very real and personal level." 

Today's announcement follows the first round of speakers and industry delegates revealed last month, which included Canadian Musician Health and Wellness coach, Mike Schwartz, music tech expert, Hazel Savage, Deena Lynch, an award-winning digital illustrator, musician and artist manager with Amplifire Music (Confidence Man, The Jungle Giants) and Australian music industry veteran, Chrissie Vincent (now head of entertainment management at Collarts).

Tickets are on sale now via Oztix with prices ranging from $25 for a one night live music pass to $99 for a full early-bird conference pass.
