Gold Coast’s multi award-winning event, Buskers By The Creek invites all contortionists, magicians, musicians and more to apply now for the opportunity to wow more than 20,000 people along the picturesque shores of Currumbin Creek this October.

Attracting record crowds last year with Australia's first ever floating half-pipe, a 285-strong roll call of award-winning musicians, world-renowned entertainers and stunts galore, this free, family-friendly festival firmly reinforced itself as a world-leading busking festival.

"Buskers by the Creek is one of the most exciting and freshest events in the Australian music calendar. It was a real eye opener for me and could very well be the launching pad for the next Australian superstar act," said 12 times Golden Guitar-winner, Adam Brand.

In a huge coup for singer/songwriters, Buskers By The Creek has this year partnered with premier Australian event, Airlie Beach Festival of Music to amp up the already highly coveted "Battle of the Buskers" competition prize.

In addition to a secured place in the Bluesfest Busking comp, cash, recording, publicity and advertising packages, the Battle of the Buskers winner will this year also walk away with an all expenses paid performance slot at Airlie Beach Festival of Music.

“The talent being discovered at Buskers by the Creek is phenomenal and we’re stoked to be onboard as a talent sponsor to provide further festival performance opportunities for artists," said Airlie Beach Festival director, Gavin Butlin.

The brainchild of local businesswoman Cindy Jensen, Buskers by the Creek is a free, independently-run festival that has more than tripled in size in as many years.

"In true Buskers By The Creek style, 2017 will see even more incredible entertainment from award-winning performers, talented teens, jaw-dropping tricks, daring world record attempts and more waterborne magic!" said Cindy.

"We are so excited to now invite applications as there are always so many fabulous surprises and talent discoveries."

Returning for its fourth year, Buskers by the Creek is ready to hear from performers who will surprise, delight and entertain at Winders Park 14 and 15 October 2017, with applications open 9 March at  www.buskersbythecreek.com.au/buskers

Buskers By The Creek 2017 is proudly supported by the Gold Coast City Council and Connecting Southern Gold Coast and sponsored by Airlie Beach Festival of Music, Bluesfest, Blank GC, Love Street Studios and Kitty Kitty Bang Bang, with more to be announced soon.
