Off the back of 2.2 million votes placing her at #2 in one of the world's biggest music polls, Triple j’s Hottest 100, sitting at #3 in the ARIA Charts and selling out her first national tour for single 'Adore', Gold Coast musician, Amy Shark will headline a free live music concert at the 2017 Gold Coast Music Awards.
With a Gold Accredited, #1 most shazammed song in hand, Amy Shark will be joined by popular 2015 Emerging Artist of the Year winner and 2016 Artist of The Year finalist, Hanlon Brothers, 2016 finalist Aquila Young and indie rockers, Yes Sir Noceur, for a massive night of free entertainment open to the general public as part of the Awards on Thursday 27 April.
“I’m so excited to play for the Gold Coast Music Awards,” said the Burleigh-born pop star, Amy.
“I think it’s going to be so much fun and I can’t believe how much it’s blown up, it’s just ridiculous. It’s gone from the back of Burleigh to the beach at Surfers Paradise. It’s just what we needed."
Awards co-founder, Chloe Popa said they are "so excited to offer this incredible lineup of local talent to the people of the Gold Coast for free."
“We have a massive festival-sized stage, with state of the art equipment - right here in the heart of the city thanks to our new partnership with Surfers Paradise Alliance and the ongoing support of City of Gold Coast,” she said.
The 2017 Gold Coast Music Awards live music concert is expected to attract more than 3,000 people to the iconic Surfers Paradise beachfront, so music lovers best rock up early to secure their spot front and centre stage for Australia's hottest artist right now.
The Awards ceremony, where Breakout Artist of the Year, Venue and Live Music Event, Song, Video, Album and Artist of the Year will be named, takes place in a VIP marquee adjacent to the stage and is a ticketed event.
The Awards take place Thursday 27 April on the beach at Surfers Paradise with a free public concert commencing at 6.00pm featuring Amy Shark, Hanlon Brothers, Aquila Young and Yes Sir, Noceur.
Tickets to the Awards presentation ceremony are on sale now via Oztix.
