Irish band FourWinds blew away packed out Woodford crowds with their lively traditional folk tunes for the very first time last week.
Kicking off their East Coast tour, FourWinds will bring a good jig to Aussie folk lovers throughout January, including a very special one-off show with folk legend Andy Irvine at The Old Museum in Brisbane 4 January.
The award-winning four-piece featured in ABC Radio’s Live New Year’s Eve broadcast along with Amanda Palmer, Steve Poltz and Adalita, packed out their own Woodford shows, as well as performing guest shows for our longest-serving Prime Minister, Bob Hawke.
Just a short time after they formed in 2013, FourWinds won the coveted Danny Kyle Award at Celtic Connections and have since been hailed the best exponent for the next generation of contemporary trad music.
Catch FourWinds and special guest Andy Irvine at the Old Museum, Brisbane on 4 January.
